What is GDPR?

Essentially, when you collect data on a citizen of the EU, they have the right to know what data you keep, for what purpose, and for how long.

Under GDPR, EU citizens have additional rights, which include: the right to access, the right to be forgotten, the right to data portability and the right to be notified of any data breaches.

YourTradebase is fully compliant with GDPR.

Since May 2018 we've updated our Terms of Use with a new data protection addendum and updated our Privacy Policy.

How is YourTradebase compliant with GDPR?

In addition to our data protection obligations, we've taked extra steps to comply with GDPR, including:

• We've named a data protecion officer for all data-processing activities. You can contact us about data protection directly at privacy@yourtradebase.com
• Our customers can exercise any of their rights under GDPR either within our web app directly, our contacting us dirctly at privacy@yourtradebase.com
• A clearer privacy policy. We’re updating our privacy policy to make it clear what we store, what we do with it and for how long.
• Respecting your rights. We’re making it easy for you to request the information we store about you, export that data and request for that information to be deleted.
• Helping you comply. We’re updating our tools to make it easier for you to export and delete the customer data you store in YourTradebase. If you get a request from your customer, we’ve got your back.
• Privacy as standard. We’re continually working to ensure YourTradebase is safe, secure and up-to-date with best security and privacy practices.

Data Processing Agreements

Our data processing commitments are set within our Privacy Policy. These have been updated from feedback with clients and guidance from regulators. More recently it has been updated to include GDPR legislation.

Deleting Data

Any data you delete from YourTradebase will be deleted immediately, with any data backups removed within 30 days. On cancellation of YourTradebase, data will be destroyed within a maximum period of 30 days. Data about any payments you make to us may be retained for up to 6 years to satisfy our legal obligations.

We take seriously our promise to keep your data safe and secure. We respect the trust you place in us when using YourTradebase to store your – and your customers’ – data. We implement technical and organisational measures which places protecting your data at the heart of the way we work.
