Once you’re set up on Stripe, every time a customer pays, the money automatically drops into your bank account in 7 working days.
Stripe doesn’t charge subscription fees, so to pay for their nifty system, they take a small amount from every invoice. If your customer pays with a UK or EU card, it’s 1.9% + 20p, and if they use a non-EU card, it’s 3.4% + 20p.
Here’s a quick example, based on a UK card:
On a £100 invoice, Stripe will take £2.10 and drop £97.90 into your bank account.
No problem. Once you’re set up on Stripe, you’ll see a toggle at the top of every invoice, letting you choose whether to accept card payments. It’s totally up to you, and you can decide on an invoice-by-invoice basis.
